CSS issue

Post by RiddlerX2 » Sun Aug 26, 2018 11:14 am

Hi!
There is ".selected" class described in CSS file has no additional filters and because of very popular word it is applies to another objects on page with same class.
For now I find that using Datatables.net combined with MetroUI requires additional changes in CSS to correct work together.

Maybe you need to contact the Datatables developer? At the moment, I have no plans to change the behavior of the class ".selected" and its name.

Datatables CSS are perfectly filtered with tags and special class names like:
"table.dataTable tbody tr.selected"
and their styles never applies to another objects on the page.
That's mistake to use .selected class name globally.
If you use .selected class only with DIV elements you should limit it's visibility to "div.selected"
It is most important rule of compatibility.
But you can do nothing. That is just my own opinion.

In Metro4, class ".selected" serves to create a selected
block element with a special design (from microsoft dg) and is used for many metro4 elements and can be used for any user elements.
